Deck'd

Merry Christmas! This movie had a bizarre process. I wrote a stupid little Christmas song, (which wound up being the opening number) and I realized I wanted to make that into a movie instead of doing Spider-Powers. The original idea was supposed to be a guy who loves Christmas, and is slowly broken down to a shell of the man he once was, finding himself then HATING it, and the hilarity that comes from that. Then I thought of the title, "Deck'd." It was this title idea that made the idea change, and the basic mood of the movie change. I can honestly say this is the first time I've thought of the title before the idea itself. I got to work on the screenplay, which only took less than a day to complete. Once I figured out the plot and about how long I wanted it to be, the scenes came naturally. It pretty much just flew out of my head. Shooting wasn't too tough, either. The hardest part wound up being the day time outside stuff. Lighting is a bitch when you're dealing with the sun. I didn't realize how hard it was gonna be until we got out there. I don't ever remember having that much trouble while shooting outside. Plus it was cold. And we were dancing. It was a long, long day, but everyone hung in there really well. We went inside and had hoagies afterwards. Overall I'm proud of it, it turned out pretty awesome. If I think of more I want to talk about, I'll update this thing! But now, MERRY CHRISTMAS! |
